Get ready to delve into the future of Ontario's economy!
The Whitchurch-Stouffville Chamber of Commerce proudly presents a special breakfast event titled "Building a Better Ontario". Join us on Monday, April 29th from 7:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the prestigious Station Creek Golf Club.
We are honoured to host Ontario’s Minister of Finance, The Hon. Peter Bethlenfalvy, who will share valuable insights into Ontario’s 2024 Budget, which was released on March 26th. Despite facing global economic uncertainties and high interest rates, Ontario is paving the way toward economic prosperity by building Ontario and working for you – all without raising taxes or fees.
You'll gain first-hand knowledge of the budget's key initiatives, including significant investments in infrastructure, housing, healthcare, and community development. Learn about the planned $1 billion investment in the Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program, the quadrupling of the Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund to $825 million, a $546 million allocation to connect 600,000 people to primary health care, and the launch of a new $200 million Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund.
Discover how Ontario is prioritizing affordability for families and businesses, extending temporary cuts to gasoline and diesel tax rates, and investing in skills development and supportive housing initiatives. You’ll hear the Minister talk about how the 2024 Budget is helping to deliver a plan to invest in critical infrastructure, attract better jobs with bigger paycheques, and keep costs down for families and businesses. Learn how these strategic steps are designed to not only tackle today's challenges but also lay a strong foundation for future economic growth.
This event promises a captivating keynote speech and an insightful fireside chat with Minister Bethlenfalvy. It's an unmissable opportunity to understand the government's vision for a stronger, more affordable, and competitive Ontario.
Brought to you in partnership with surrounding chambers of commerce and sponsored by OREA, Trentadue Torres Group RE/MAX All-Stars Realty LTD., Hyson Properties and Borlak Law Office, this event is complimentary for members of the Whitchurch-Stouffville Chamber of Commerce, $50 for non-members, and $25 for members of partnering chambers.
