Many of these changes are here to stay. What does that mean for security? It's often said you can't manage what you don't measure. I would like to argue you can't measure what you don't understand.\n\nThe purpose of this talk is to teach through a narrative of three short stories of how to understand security so that you can measure\, so that you can manage.\n\nThe session will be led by Mark Dillon\, a founder and Director of Security Operations at Layer0\, a cyber security firm located in Waterloo and Sarnia Ontario . Over the past ten years Mark has been working with intelligent communities\, next generation wireless\, fibre networks including IoT\, utilities and municipalities.\n\nMark has implemented security protocols and controls for a variety of early adoption projects such as outdoor wireless ISPs\, smart metering roll-outs\, dark fibre builds\, online voting systems as well as the automation of vehicles\, wastewater\, electric grids and core communications infrastructure.
