About this event

Career Recharge: Personality ? You and the Workplace image

Gaining insight into different personality traits and behaviours can help us better understand ourselves and how we relate to others. This knowledge can be leveraged to help reduce conflict in the workplace and thrive in different professional settings.

In this session, we will:

compare personality types and identify their unique characteristics
examine the impact of personality on workplace relationships and how to improve communication with personality awareness tools
explore how your newly gained knowledge can lead to career success and satisfaction

Led by facilitator Susan Thomas, join us to gain greater self-awareness and understand others better to improve interpersonal relationships. Whether you are an independent thinker, a relationship builder, a freedom seeker, or a responsible list maker, this workshop will allow you to find your brightest colour and help you to let it shine. This is the third workshop in our Personal Growth for the Workplace series.

About the Facilitator

Susan Thomas has been helping students and employees clarify and reach their career goals for more than 30 years, both at Seneca, as Manager of Leadership & Employee Development and Seneca Career Development, and as a personal Career Consultant and Gallup Strengths Coach. Certified in True Colours and in Lumina Spark, she helps clients appreciate the array of talents they posses and then understand the unique differences among teams and colleagues.

Ms. Thomas believes that everyone shines brighter when they tap into who they naturally are, while becoming aware of the strengths of others. More effective communication, improved workplace engagement, and career satisfaction are just a few of the benefits she has seen in the clients and departments she has worked with over the years.

Special Interest Groups

The Greater Stouffville Chamber is pleased to offer Special Interest Groups (SIGs) as part of our initiative to enhance member engagement and connectivity. These SIGs are communities within our Chamber that focus on advancing specific areas of interest, fostering collaboration among members with shared goals.

Currently, we have launched two SIGs:

40-and-Under Young Professionals Group
Women in Business Group

Each SIG is led by a Chamber member and is designed to drive change and produce solutions through communication, meetings, and organized events. These groups provide unique opportunities to network with peers, share resources, and develop strategies to address challenges specific to their focus area.

Participation in a SIG is exclusive to Chamber members, making it an excellent opportunity for professional growth and community building.
